I found this article on guardian.co.uk and I am quite shocked that the Heinz company withdraws this courageos ad.
It is sad that even the society in the “developed” west still can´t cope with people who are, for any reason, different from the majority. For I am pretty sure that the majority has no problem with homosexual persons or couples kissing in puplic, kissing on TV. But the problem is, that a loud minority of bold, conservative persons can manipulate the public debatte and the more open-minded parts of society seem unwilling to stop this influence…
And this is the reason for the Heinz ad is beeing withdrawn.
This is the reason for jerks still encouraged to bully gay people for they know that no passer-by will back the offended up.
This is the reason that things change so slowly in society, be it the emancipation of women or be it the encouraged resistance to sexism, racism or xenophobia…
